Goldsmiths Department of Visual Cultures

The Department of Visual Cultures specialise in contemporary art history and theory, curating, and research architecture, exploring new forms of art theory and history, art practice and visual culture.

The research-active department in the School of Culture and Society prides itself on its interdisciplinary and innovative approach to learning and teaching. The department includes the Centre for Research Architecture, the large international research project and agency Forensic Architecture, as well as being a local platform for the European Forum of Advanced Practices.

The Showroom is part of the department’s wider institutional network of arts organisations.
