This special limited edition has been created by Melbourne-based artist Kay Abude as an extension of her large-scale collaborative project Be Creative Remain Resilient, the fourth annual Showroom Mural Commission and her first presentation in the UK.

Encompassing a process of research, development and production in collaboration with a group of eight women connected to The Showroom’s neighbourhood and beyond, the work carries forward many of the concerns, commitments and questions raised within Abude’s earlier works in Australia, where she is based. Exploring the nature of work and labour, the politics of making and the economics of artistic practice, the project considers the difficulties and precarities associated with creative careers, specifically among migrant communities.

All funds raised through edition sales go directly to support the work of The Showroom.
