Rana Hamadeh discusses her new film commission for The Showroom The Sleepwalkers, the latest chapter in her ongoing project Alien Encounters, with researcher and curator Carolina Rito.

Carolina Rito teaches in the Visual Cultures Department at Goldsmiths, University of London. Carolina’s research focuses on the conjunctions of curatorial studies, exhibition histories, and contemporary art practice and theory in the field of visual culture.

This event is part of the exhibition The Sleepwalkers at The Showroom 26 January - 19 March 2016. The Sleepwalkers was co-commissioned by Nottingham Contemporary, The Showroom (London) and Institute of Modern Art (Brisbane), in collaboration with Flat Time House (London) and Primary (Nottingham). The project was generously supported by The Mondriaan Fund, The Embassy of the Netherlands, The Keir Foundation, The Elephant Trust and Maria Sukkar. With additional support from B Squared Foundation, Maya Rasamny and Zaha Hadid Foundation.
