Young Curators 2025

Young Curators is a new group of young cultural leaders (aged 16-21) at The Showroom Gallery who are passionate about social justice, the environment, and the arts. This is more than a youth collective: Young Curators are an important part of the wider team at the gallery.

Activities include:

– Collaborating with international artists working in London
– Visiting galleries, artist studios and museums
– Curating public events, experiences and exhibitions for other young people
– Sharing creative ideas and artwork with The Showroom’s audience
– Being part of shaping The Showroom’s future direction

Programme Details
– When: July – December 2025 (6 months)
– Where: Weekly in-person meetings at The Showroom, NW8

Young Curator’s get:
– Payment for each session they attend
– Training and support for creative and curatorial projects
– Mentorship from gallery staff and artists
– Travel expenses within Zones 1–6 (just keep your receipts)
– Snacks and refreshments at every session
– Help with CVs, portfolios and applications for work or study
