Inaugural Curatorial Fellow
We are excited to introduce our first Curatorial Fellow – Rosy Leake — who will be learning from, and contributing to the work of The Showroom from March until October 2026.
Rose of Sharon Leake is an Australian-born curator and writer based in London whose practice engages with exhibition-making, programming and publishing as intertwined forms of research. With particular attention to how knowledge is produced, translated and made public, Rosy develops critically engaged, research-led exhibitions and public programmes that open spaces for collective questioning and exchanges. Her key research areas include material and object histories, colonial legacies, collaborative methodologies and ecologically informed practices. Rosy served as Managing Editor of Art Collector magazine in Australia from 2020-24, and continues to work across gallery and programme contexts in the UK and Australia, including Minor Attractions, Cedric Bardawil, and N.Smith Gallery. She holds an MFA in Curating from Goldsmiths, University of London, and bachelor’s degrees in Fine Arts and Arts from UNSW Sydney, Gadigal Country.
The Showroom Curatorial Fellowship programme is funded by The Michael Bishop Foundation, and is realised in partnership with Goldsmiths, University of London MFA Curating Programme. It provides a rare opportunity for three graduates over three years to begin their careers in a London arts institution gaining hands-on experience in the field.
