Join artist Nia Fekri for a hands-on workshop using drawing and collage to create large-scale stop-motion animations. Taking inspiration from the films Aikāne and Kapaemahu, this session will explore themes of fluidity, transformation, and storytelling through collective image-making and experimental animation techniques.

Working collaboratively, participants will be introduced to principles of movement and narrative, bringing their ideas to life through a playful and intuitive animation process. No prior experience is necessary—just bring your imagination, an open mind and a willingness to explore!

This workshop engages with our screening programme Through the Oceanic Lens, part of our exhibition Oceanic Visions / Moana te kite.
