A workshop for young people with local artist JK, exploring storytelling, character design and illustration through cartoon-making. Drawing on comics, animation and personal imagination, participants will learn how to build a character, develop a playful narrative and bring it to life on the page.

JK is a contemporary artist who works primarily in drawing. He is the first neurodiverse Young Cartoonist in Residence at The Cartoon Museum (CM) as well as member of the Serpentine Gallery Youth Collective.

This workshop is organised as part of Imagining Futures, The Showroom’s programme for Schools and Young People supported by John Lyon’s Charity
