Get ready to rethink everything you know about drawing!
Drawing Lab is a playful, confidence-building workshop where we’ll explore what drawing can be. What happens when you try to draw a pineapple with the wrong hand? Can a battery-powered chihuahua make its own masterpiece? What does a self-portrait look like when you’re standing on one leg with your eyes closed?
This is your chance to experiment, have fun, and try something new. Whether you’re a seasoned sketcher or just curious, this workshop is all about creativity, exploration, and shaking up the rules.
You’ll also get to meet new people and discover more about The Showroom - a space with a rich history of radical art practice and rethinking what a gallery is and who it’s for.
No experience needed, just bring your imagination!
This workshop is organised as part of Imagining Futures, The Showroom’s new programme for Schools and Young People supported by John Lyon’s Charity.
