Learn the basics of DJ-ing in this free, hands-on half term workshop . From 12–5pm, you’ll work alongside other young people to mix tracks, experiment with sound, and discover new music- no experience needed.

The session is led in collaboration with Habibti Nation, a collective, party and radio show run by LUMA that showcases underground electronic sounds from South West Asia and North Africa (SWANA), with a strong focus on femxle and non-binary artists.

Inspired by The Showroom’s current mural commission by Mandy Al Sayegh, the workshop will explore DJ-ing as a process of layering, cutting up, and recombining, considering together how these techniques can translate into mixing music.

Imagining Futures, The Showroom’s Schools and Young People programme, is generously supported John Lyon’s Charity
