The Showroom is launching an ambitious programme, spearheaded by the gallery’s move to a fantastic new building on Penfold Street. The space greatly improves resources for artists and makes possible important educational opportunities in a community that is one of the most deprived in the UK, and which has the fourth highest level of child poverty.

The Showroom has to raise 100% of its annual budget for the gallery and events programmes, education and outreach work so we can continue to give artists opportunities to realise ambitious projects and ensure that the neighbourhood will receive a groundbreaking education programme.

The Showroom has initiated new Benefactor, Patrons and Friends schemes for those who would like to support us in achieving this.

Benefactors From £3000 pa

Benefactors comprise a circle of key supporters of The Showroom’s re-development whose involvement is vital to enabling and sustaining our organisation, and are appreciated in a number of ways. They are invited to informal dinners with the artists in our programme and are kept informed of developments in the gallery throughout the year. These relaxed events are designed to keep our Benefactors at the heart of what we are doing.
In addition Benefactors are:

• Invited to an annual supporters dinner
• Acknowledged on all gallery publicity material, the website, and on a panel displayed in the building
• Offered free use of the gallery or event space one evening each year, and
50% discount at another time in the year
• Invited to special exhibition previews with the artists
• Sent copies of all Showroom publications
• Offered priority booking for Showroom events
• Entitled to free attendance at all events and seminars

Founding Patrons £1000 pa

Founding Patrons enable the organization to function and their support feeds directly into artists’ productions, in particular guaranteeing artists’ fees and seed funding for artists’ projects. Founding Patrons are credited and appreciated in the following ways:

• Invited to an annual supporters dinner
• Kept informed of key developments in the gallery
• Acknowledged on all gallery publicity material, the website, and on a panel displayed in the building
• Offered 50% discount on hire of the space for one event
• Invited to special exhibition previews with the artists
• Sent copies of all Showroom publications
• Offered priority booking for Showroom events
• Entitled to free attendance at all events and seminars

Gallery Supporters Circle £600 pa

The Gallery Supporters Circle is a group of galleries who recognise The Showroom’s invaluable contribution to enabling artists. Support feeds directly into artists’ commissions. The Gallery Supporters Circle are credited and appreciated in the following ways:

• Invited to an annual supporters dinner
• Acknowledged on all gallery publicity material, the website, and on a panel displayed in the building
• Invited to special exhibition previews with the artists
• Sent copies of all Showroom publications
• Offered priority booking for Showroom events
• Entitled to free attendance at all events and seminars


Patrons £500 pa / £600 pa for couples

The support of Patrons feeds directly into artists’ commissions, guaranteeing artists’ fees and seed funding for artists’ projects. The support of Patrons is credited and appreciated in the following ways:

• Invited to an annual supporters dinner
• Acknowledged on all gallery publicity material, the website, and on a panel displayed in the building
• Invited to special exhibition previews with the artists
• Sent copies of all Showroom publications
• Offered priority booking for Showroom events
• Entitled to free attendance at all events and seminars

Programme Supporters £250 pa

Programme Supporters help fund the gallery programme. They are credited and appreciated in the following ways:

Friends £50 pa

• Advance booking for all Showroom events
